Accent Smooth is one of our smoothest twin wire paper and board ranges, designed for text and cover, and corporate communication applications. All weights and shades are Acid Free and approved for HP Indigo digital printing.
Smooth Papers
The GFSmith portfolio is built on an exclusive collection of high quality smooth papers. These ranges represent our chief ambition to provide designers and printers with the best print performance on an uncoated sheet. Where certain coatings have been introduced, the tactile integrity of the sheet is maintained.
All of our Smooth papers are available in a range of weights and are primarily designed for text, cover and stationery applications. Every one is guaranteed for certain digital processes, and many carry environmental accreditations. We make matching envelopes and provide cut-to-size sheets in most cases.
ACCENT SMOOTH
BECKETT EXPRESSION
Beckett Expression is our super-smooth range of paper and boards with a perfectly formed print surface designed for offset printing and most digital print technologies. Beckett Expression comes in a comprehensive range of weights, including a fibre sheet.
CRANES CREST
Cranes Crest is a 100% cotton paper, designed for premium stationery use. In production since 1801, and now available exclusively from GFSmith, this world famous brand is associated with the highest quality. This 'Tree Free' paper uses cotton that is recovered from the textile industry. And because cotton fibres are naturally whiter, brighter and more durable than wood fibres, it requires very little bleaching.
MOHAWK NAVAJO
Mohawk Navajo from GFSmith is one of the brightest, smoothest uncoated papers available. Featuring the Inxwell treatment, it is optimised for both digital and offset printing. Navajo is Acid Free, made from 20% post consumer waste (PCW) and manufactured using Windpower.
MOHAWK OPTIONS
Mohawk Options is our range that offers the feel of an uncoated paper, while the Inxwell treatment optimises it for both digital and offset printing. It is available in a choice of Smooth or Vellum surfaces, it is Acid Free and manufactured using Windpower. Most of the Options range is made from 30% post consumer waste (PCW), but White Smooth PC100 is 100% PCW and Crystal White Smooth is 100% ECF Virgin Fibre.
MOHAWK SUPERFINE
Mohawk Superfine is our traditional smooth text and cover paper, designed for high-end corporate communications. However, being Acid Free it is equally appropriate for fine art applications where archival quality is required. The range features three white shades and a comprehensive selection of weights and finishes.
MONADNOCK
Monadnock is the range that features the most weight options of all our smooth uncoated papers and boards. Its sheet formation is engineered specifically for print performance. PC100 Smooth is made from 100% Post Consumer Waste (PCW) and is Chlorine Free.
NATURALIS
Naturalis is engineered to be one of our best-performing uncoated papers for both lithography and digital print. Its uniform formation is achieved by using only the best photographic-grade pulps, while its pristine finish is created by the final surface treatments. Naturalis Absolute White is dye free for precise and consistent colour representation, while Naturalis Recycled Smooth is made from 50% Post Consumer Waste (PCW).
ORIGINAL GMUND
Original Gmund is our cotton-based smooth paper collection, incorporating papers with a cotton content of 10%, up to 100%. The range features three shades, six weights and pure wove or laid surface finishes. Original Gmund is approved for most traditional and digital print technologies.
PHOENIXMOTION
PhoeniXmotion is our range of matt coated papers that offers a unique combination of the tactile qualities of uncoated paper with the perfect visual appearance and printability of coated stock. As well as enhancing its lithography and digital print performance, its coating shortens drying times, and optimises folding and embossing capabilities.
STRATHMORE WRITING
Strathmore Writing is a range of smooth uncoated papers suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly corporate communication and stationery work. All our Strathmore papers are Carbon Neutral and manufactured using Windpower, while the Bright White Recycled Wove is also made from 30% Post Consumer Waste (PCW), and the 90gsm weight incorporates 25% cotton. The range also includes a label stock, available in all shades.
ZEN
Zen is our pure white paper with a unique surface coating, engineered to enhance its lithography and digital print reproduction capabilities, while retaining the tactile feel of an uncoated paper in an antique finish.
