Will Hudson

How would you describe what you do?

In business speak, "It's Nice That we champion creativity online, in print and through a series of events. And then at New Studio London we take the great ideas generated in-house and uses the expertise of our ever-expanding network of thinkers and doers to make them a reality for brands." In real terms we identify some incredibly talented individuals and studios creating fantastic work that we then feature and hope to one day collaborate with.

What is your background?

Graphic design degree at Brighton, 9 months experience in a traditional graphic design studio and then learning on the go as to how to run a publishing/design business.

Who inspired you at the outset?

It's a difficult one, I don't really have those specific people or pieces of work that influenced me. I'm lucky I've always had great support from family and friends to go and do the things that showed promise, fortunately a few of those things have come off.

Who, or what, inspires you now?

I've been lucky and meet a number of people along the way, in particular Sir Paul Smith who is definitely up there as a massive inspiration. Not only starting a massively successful brand from the ground up but one of the kindest people you'll ever meet.

What was the last useful thing you learnt?

The Coronet Cinema in Notting hill is not only of the most stunning cinemas in London but also does Tuesday nights for £3.50 each. Good leg room and comfortable seats as well. http://www.coronet.org/

What are you working on right now?

At It's Nice That we have a redesign of the site and Issue 8 of the magazine launching in March as well as some exciting events that are starting to take shape. On the New Studio London side of things we've working with some hugely talented creatives and the work is looking great.
