Cover Print Media

Cover Print Media (1967/1968) designed by Bill Mackay

This spiral bound book contains 14 leaves of different coloured stocks, and each features an original photographic image or graphic illustration. Principally designed to demonstrate the effectiveness of lithography, letterpress and silkscreen printing on GFSmith's uncoated stocks, the book also provides crucial technical advice. In a further effort to aid designers and printers, the book contains a set of acetate sheets, each printed with a series of screened tonal circles in the four process colours. By overlaying two or more of the acetates it is possible to replicate any four-colour process colour, and by placing this over one of the coloured stocks, a simulation of the finished printed effect can be achieved.
